God Seeker

I am from California, which has grown monumentally since the Gold Rush of 1848-1852, through people streaming here seeking worldly wealth. The first gold seekers were called 49ers because many came in 1849. Multitudes of gold seekers then and since have sacrificed all they have in hopes of finding instant wealth. It is an old, deceptive goal: pursue wealth as the answer to life’s problems. Yet, the life for which God created us is greater than the here and now. And regardless of how much gold, wealth or even fame these gold seekers found, it could not save them from dying. Only Jesus…

Jesus was and is the answer. Only through Him, as Savior and Lord, do we receive the eternal life in His presence, for which we were created.

We are called to be GOD Seekers, not gold seekers. His perfect Wisdom is His way and is worth more than any amount of gold, rubies or other worldly treasures. In God, we find our value, purpose and future. Only He holds the truth. Only He has power. The earth and everything in it belong to God. He made them. Without God, nothing is possible, but with God, all things are possible. And He promises to care for us perfectly when we choose to follow Him from here through eternity.

God Seeker is a collection of song prayers to give words and melody with which to adore our Lord as we pursue a deeper relationship with Him as our answer, reveling in His way and gifts to us. All wealth we will ever need is found in Him. He is the Source of all abundance.

May we live as God Seekers. May our united worship rise up as incense, glorify our King and engrave the Truth of who He is ever deeper on our hearts.
